This great figure is an increase of 40% in the last year alone; growth has been driven by strong value tariffs, competitive handset price points and additional dedicated Tesco phone shop locations.
Some other figures proving our worth in the Irish market are we have a 5.9% market share, maiking us the biggest and most successful Virtual Network Operator In July, Tesco Mobile reached a milestone of 250,000 customers and this growth continued through the second half of 2014 with Tesco Mobile being the fastest growing mobile provider in Q3 2014. They doubled their retail presence in the past year, with 20 phoneshops and an online store at tescomobile.ie.
Tesco Mobile customers can also link their Clubcard account to their mobile one, earning points every time they top up or pay their bill.
