Our Store Manager Foodwaste engagement sessions continued this week across the country.

Our Store Managers have taken to yammer to speak about their visits and below is some feedback from them!

Tallaght Store Manager Jonathan Miller and Ronan Doyle visited ‘Give and Receive’

“Great visit today at Give and Receive with Ronan Doyly to see all the hard work Jimmy and Jane with all the surplus food from our Tesco stores.”

Ronan added: “Great to spend time with Jimmy and Jane yesterday. The food which we donate helps to provide a full dinner every night for 54 people.”

Greystones Store Manager Chris Nolan paid a visit to Bray Lakers Social and Recreational Club with Aoife Parle

She said: “Fantastic morning at Bray Lakers Social and Recreational Club with Store Manager Chris Nolan and checkout manager Niamh O’Brien. We got to see exactly where our donation benefits the centre at their cooking class this morning. Really great visit.”

Deputy Manager in Galway, Rory Tiernry, paid a visit to Cope Galway

He said: “Great morning out with Kelvin visiting Geraldine and the team in Cope Galway. Fantastic setup and great to see where our surplus food goes and how many people it helps. The people Cope Galway have helped in the past now volunteer in the kitchen to gain confident and social experience thus proving how far reaching our donations are in the community and how much more it means to these people than just food donations.”
