We are delighted to announce that as of today, our new extra store in Liffey Valley is now open! From 8am this morning, Robbie Kelly and his team were busy welcoming customers through the doors of our 151st store in Ireland with the help of social media star James Patrice and TV presenter Lucy Kennedy.
We’re delighted to create 175 jobs with the opening of this store and welcome all of our new colleagues to the Tesco Team.
Tesco Extra Liffey Valley offers customers a fantastic fresh and local food offering, great prices, quality and service with the community at the heart of the shopping experience.
The new store supports three local groups as part of their Community Fund – Liffey Valley Rangers FC, Quarryvale Community Centre and Clondalkin Youth Band – and will also be donating surplus food to local charities that need it most through our surplus food donations programme.
With over 440 free car parking spaces available for customers, the store makes for a totally hassle-free shopping trip. The centre comprises of a 60,000 square feet Tesco store, Tesco Mobile, Vision Express, Costa Coffee, Holland & Barrett and more. It is highly carbon efficient too with environmental features incorporated into the store design including energy saving measures, advanced lighting, heating and cooling systems and waste recycling facilities.
A big thank you to everyone who worked so hard to get the store open. A successful store opening is the product of nearly every part of our business working together and the Liffey Valley opening was a fantastic example of working together as one team to serve our customers a little better every day.
Congratulations to Store Manager Robbie Kelly and his team and the very best of luck for the future in Tesco Extra Liffey Valley!
