Monday 10th December, 2018

We want all colleagues to have a safe and happy Christmas so we’ve put together some top tips to stay safe and healthy this holiday season!

Be Security Conscious

When shopping, especially in evening hours, be aware of your surroundings and walk in well-lit, populated areas.

Manage Stress

Pace yourself, don’t over-load your holiday schedule.

Batteries

Buy enough batteries for all the toys and gadgets so no one is tempted to raid the smoke alarms for extra batteries.

Sockets

Don’t overload sockets and extension cables to avoid fire and electrical outages. Remember cables can also be a trip hazard.

Vehicle Safety

Don’t drink and drive, stay within the speed limit and always wear your seatbelt. www.rsa.ie

Electrical Wires

Check wires and plugs for visual damage – if it’s damaged, do not use it. Ensure all electrical items have a “CE” mark on them and buy from a reputable retailer … like your local Tesco store!
