THREE EXCITING FUNDRAISING EFFORTS TO SUPPORT THE YOUNG LGBTQ+ PEOPLE OF IRELAND
We are ‘bursting with pride’ to return as platinum sponsor for this year’s Dublin LGBTQ+ Pride Festival 2019. The sponsorship builds on our involvement over the past two years and is a colourful embodiment of our commitment to diversity and inclusion. Once again, this year we will support a fundraising partnership with BeLonG To Youth Services, donating much-needed funds to assist the young LGBTI+ people of Ireland to feel equal, safe and valued.
BeLonG To Youth Services provides support and advice for LGBTI+ young people from 14-23 years to live healthier, happier lives. Its mission is to support Ireland’s young LGBTI+ people as equals to achieve their vision through youth work, changing attitudes, and research.
We will support BeLonG To Youth Services to achieve this with three exciting donation initiatives including an exclusive limited-edition F&F Pride t-shirt, on pack donations with Ben & Jerry’s ‘Love is…’ ice-cream and community led fundraising across 44 stores nationwide.
In celebration of Dublin Pride LGBQT+ Festival 2019, F&F has unveiled a limited-edition Pride t-shirt, with a proportion from every sale being donated directly to BeLonG To Youth Services. The exclusive tee is a colourful expression of Pride and boasts a striking design, inspired by our ‘Bursting with Pride’ campaign line. Featuring an artistic explosion of rainbow colours, this high-quality tee embodies the power of Pride and is designed to unite and empower those wearing it to be proud to be who they truly are.
The limited-edition F&F Pride t-shirt is on sale in selected stores nationwide for €8 with a proportion from every sale going directly to BeLonG To Youth Services.
Tesco Community Fund
In support of our partnership with BeLonG To Youth Services and Dublin LGBTQ+ Pride Festival 2019, 44 Tesco stores nationwide have selected BeLonG To Youth Services as one of their three chosen causes for the current eight-week fundraising phase of the Tesco Community Fund.
Customers in each of these 44 stores can choose to place their blue token in the BeLonG To Youth Services donation box to support the worthy cause. The more tokens a local cause receives, the larger share of the €1,000 donation (between three causes) they will receive.
To celebrate that love comes in all flavours, Ben & Jerry’s has introduced a new flavour of ice-cream, exclusive to Tesco in Ireland. ‘Love is…’ contains buttery brown sugar ice cream with pink chocolatey salted caramel cups, a cookie swirl and a pink topping.
In support of our partnership with BeLonG To Youth Services, a 50c donation will be made from the sale of every tub of Ben & Jerry’s Love is… sold in Tesco Ireland stores until 15th July.

All funds donated by Tesco Ireland to BeLonG To Youth Services will go directly to the provision of expert advice, support services and youth groups for young people, along with supporting BeLonG To Youth Services ’s work in educating and supporting parents, carers and teachers on how best to support and empower the young LGBTI+ people in their lives.
